Lambs
Lamb consignments throughout NSW slipped by 4% week-on-week, for a total of 112,806 head.
New season trade weight lambs trended $2 to $5 cheaper, making from $106 to $146/head, or an average price of 582¢ to 584¢/kg cwt.
Trade weight older lambs slipped $3 to $4, ranging from $90 to $140/head, and attained an average price from 550¢ to 552¢/kg cwt.
The heavy weight lambs sold $2 to $7 cheaper, to sell from $125 to $208/head, or an average price of 570¢ to 592¢/kg cwt.
The best of the heavy weight Merino lambs sold from $130 to $147/head and averaged around the 553¢/kg cwt.
Mutton
Sheep numbers increased by 9% week-on-week, for a total of 36,595 head.
Sheep averaged firm to slightly cheaper, with the medium and heavy weights selling from $62 to $133/head, or an estimated average for the better finished end of 370¢ to 419¢/kg cwt.
