NLGC Taskforce Positions

MLA are currently seeking producer representation for the Prime Lamb industry on the NLGC Taskforce.

The National Livestock Genetics Consortium (NLGC) Taskforce provides direction and support to increase collaboration, transparency, communication and investment in livestock genetics research, development and adoption (RD&A) in Australia through an advisory capacity. One of the key factors in delivering on the objectives of the NLGC is producer engagement and consultation. The NLGC Taskforce is a skills-based Taskforce with representation balanced across the value chain, including researchers, processors and producers. Both MLA and the NLGC Taskforce are currently seeking to find an individual to represent the Prime Lamb industry, who has extensive genetics and breeding experience. As well as having the skills to ensure investments through the NLGC will deliver greater impact for livestock producers and the red meat value chain.

For further information on the role of NLGC Taskforce members, please refer to the NLGC Taskforce Terms of Reference (link below) or contact Caris Jones 0411 680 529.

Applicants should submit both a cover letter and CV to Hamish Chandler hchandler@mla.com.au by the close of business on the 22nd of December 2017.
