Consignments at Roma Prime increased 86%, to 1,493 head. With good cow numbers penned, all the usual processors operated in what was a good quality yarding. Processors from the south took on more of a selective approach when purchasing, but overall it was a strong offering of prime cattle across the board.
Dubbo numbers increased 4%, to 6,300 head with mostly prime conditioned cattle supplied. It was a good quality yarding, with a fair offering of cattle from the far west enticing the usual buyers that attended. Prime yearling steers sold to a dearer trend, while their female counterparts were a few cents easier.
Bairnsdale yarded 585 head, back 3% week-on-week. Quality was mixed and the regular buying group were in operation.
